The Secret PRO system offers four distinct treatment types, each designed to target different skin concerns with precision and control:

Secret™ PRO Refine: RF Microneedling

Am I a Candidate for Cutera Secret™ PRO?

Ideal candidates for Secret PRO treatments are in good overall health with realistic expectations about what skin resurfacing can accomplish. You should have specific concerns about your skin’s texture, tone or signs of aging that haven’t responded adequately to topical products or less invasive treatments.

The Secret PRO Refine treatment works on all skin types and tones, making it an excellent choice if you have darker skin or are concerned about pigmentation changes. CO2 laser treatments (Ultra-Lite, Ultra and Revive) work best on fair to medium skin tones, as darker skin carries higher risks of pigmentation issues.

You may not be suitable for treatment if you are affected by any of the following factors:

  • Pregnancy
  • Active skin conditions (e.g., psoriasis or eczema)
  • Recent Accutane use
  • Pacemaker
  • Various health conditions

The Treatment Process

Consultation and Planning

Your Cutera Secret PRO experience begins with a thorough evaluation by Dr. Compoginis. He will examine your skin’s condition and discuss your aesthetic goals with you. We encourage every patient to make all their questions and concerns heard during this time. The more you share with Dr. Compoginis, the better he can customize your treatment plan.

Dr. Compoginis will also review your medical history and explain which Secret PRO treatment type is best suited for your concerns. You’ll receive detailed information about what to expect during treatment, the healing process and the results you can anticipate.

Prep and Anesthesia

Before your treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied for your comfort. The treatment area will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any makeup, skincare products or residual numbing cream. For more intensive treatments, additional pain management options may be provided.

Treatment Delivery

For Refine (RF Microneedling): Dr. Compoginis will hold the handpiece perpendicular to your skin, allowing the tiny needles to penetrate to the appropriate depth while emitting radiofrequency energy. You’ll feel slight pressure and tingling as the needles enter the skin. Treatment sessions typically take 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area.

For Ultra-Lite or Ultra (CO2 Laser): Dr. Compoginis moves the handpiece methodically across each treatment area as the laser creates tiny perforations in the skin while preserving the surrounding tissue. Treatment duration typically ranges from 15 to 30 minutes.

For Revive (Combination): This treatment begins with the radiofrequency microneedling component, immediately followed by CO2 laser resurfacing over the same areas. Sessions typically take between 30 and 45 minutes.
